Invasive Nature was installed and performed in the backyard of a Los Angeles home as part of the site specific performance festival, HomeLA. The artist was suspended and moving within a hanging sculpture alluding to some kind of pupal casing or amniotic sac, while the breathing pods below rise and fall at varying paces. This work speaks to reproduction, the promise of newness, and the processes of life-giving that are simultaneously repellant and beautiful.
